Experience GASS Event Nearly Sold Out

The April 28-29, 2012 event at the Reno/Fernley Raceway is an Open House for existing drivers, new drivers and people with an interest in racing with GASS, or to simply learn more about the people and the program.

This is not a GASS race, but participants will be putting in a full day of “seat time” on Sunday at near race speeds. The cost for the Experience GASS weekend is only $2500 and is open to anyone over 21 years of age that would like to attend. The costs are inclusive of track rental, fuel, tires and technical support. In other words, you are the hero!

Season Opener at Iowa Speedway

The 2012 Great American Stockcar Series opens the 2012 racing season at the Iowa Speedway, May 18-19, 2012. The first GASS race of the season is scheduled to run under the lights immediately following the K&N Pro Series race on Saturday night.

The 2011 champion Joe Lamberti will return to defend his crown against the challenges of Larry Clement, Larry Olson, Jerry Casey and western road course specialist, Gary Bockman.

Keep in mind there are still a couple of cars available for the season and the Iowa Speedway dates in conjunction with the major NASCAR events.
